What is a Soupie?
A Soupie is a dry-cured, flavorful sausage (also known around the world
as Sopresetta). The oval shape comes from the pressing process. Salpicados Soupie is an old Italian tradition and
recipe, that was brought here from Italy over a hundred years ago by my grandfather, passed to him by his grandfather.
Like many other old world customs, all natural dry-curring is a dying tradition. At Salpicados we have taken
our old family recipe and continue the art of dry-curing sausages and salamis.
Each stick is hand-made from quality pork, stuffed into natural casings and tied by hand with cotton twine.
No Nitrates, Nitrites, or MSG added. Always 100% all Natural.
